Life Outside Your Safe Zone

“Everything you want is on the other side of fear.” Jack Canfield

When people approach me as a coach and trust me enough to share with me their story, there are some common threads in those conversations:

They feel stuck or lonely in their marriage.

They feel unloved or unlovable in their most important relationships.

They feel numb, disconnected, or just going through the motions in their lives.

It’s easy to see how life can lead us to that place:

The day we give birth is the day that we put all our own passions and interests on ...continue reading...

Fear and Calm can Co-Exist

“If you don’t hold the fear lovingly, it will follow you.” Martha Beck

A few weeks ago, I wrapped up my Master Coach training with Martha Beck. The opportunity to be coached by Martha over several days on her ranch was an experience that will remain with me for a long, long time.

For those of you that don’t know her, she’s been a Life Coach since before there was any such thing as a Life Coach, authored several best-selling books and has been writing a featured column in O Magazine for decades.

But the thing that is so ...continue reading...

How We Love

“The Universe isn’t invested in giving us what we want. It’s invested in teaching us how to love.” Marianne Williamson

We may not be able to choose who we fall in love with, but we most certainly get to choose how we love.

We can love with fire or with fear.

We can love with peace or with passion.

We can love with honesty and openness or with doubt and hesitation.

We can even choose to love with our hearts or our minds. One leads us to deep intimacy, the other leads to pragmatic numbness.

We get to ...continue reading...

Here’s the Truth: It’s Time to Ask a Better Question

“If you live in the questions, life will move you into the answers.” Deepak Chopra

As a creator, my job is to create. My medium of choice at the moment is writing. So, I follow the flow of my life and the challenges I hear from women all over the world as my source of inspiration.

My job isn’t to judge the quality of my work or to force it on people. My job is to create what is calling to be created in my soul and trust that those who need my message will find it.

Here’s how ...continue reading...

How Your Soul Says “Yes!”

“Stay open to whoever and whatever comes along. When you least expect it, life can take your breath away.” Unknown

You know that one friend?

That friend you have that’s more than a best friend and maybe even more than family?

It’s that soul sister that you can go weeks without seeing, but when you get back together, it’s like no time at all has passed? Yea, that one.

I have a friend like that.

And every time we get together, we greet each other with a big hug and always, always a peaceful smile and good, long ...continue reading...

Together & Alone

“The trouble is not really in being alone, it’s being lonely.” Christine Feehan

I was almost ten years into my first marriage when I realized that even though I had a husband that loved me, family and plenty of friends, I still felt isolated and very alone.

Throughout the last week, I’ve spoken to several women with similar experiences.

We’re not alone; we’re never really alone in these experiences that we don’t talk much about to one another.

Camille married her husband out of fear and knew from the beginning that there was no soulful connection between them. But ...continue reading...
