Our marriages are supposed to be the most important and most intimate relationship we have. It’s supposed to be the cornerstone of the family and the stable, supportive presence when life gets hard. But when our marriages begin falling apart, so does our physical and emotional well-being, impacting literally every area of our lives:

  1. This struck a chord with me, WOW!

    I had a friend who passed from breast cancer. The more I found out about her home situation, the more I had a feeling her cancer was due to her marriage stresses. It was then that I realized the feelings (intuitions) I was having we’re trying to tell me something. That if I didn’t remove myself from my situation, exactlybwhat was described in this article, the feeling of being alone, sad, angry etc., I would end up just like my friend.

    Fast forward to a year later after my divorce. I’m finally starting to feel healthy again. My aches and pains are almost gone. I truly feel this is 100% right on!!

    As Glennon Doyle Melton said in a Super Sould Sunday interview: “if a woman has the choice of saving her soul or saving her marriage, she needs to save her soul” and I did just that. When I heard that, I knew I had done the right thing.
